Seshan honoured GS RAJAN on 10 June 1995 when Rajan composed and presented
a two-hour, first of its kind multi-media musical entitled 'Reflections'
in Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi.
FEBRUARY 1996
The national jury of Akashwani
Award of All India Radio was bestowed upon RAJAN in the year 1996 when
Rajan's unique production entitled 'OASIS' containing seven thematic orchestral
compositions was selected as one of the best productions of All India
Radio.
NOVEMBER 2004
GS RAJAN received the "Best
Music Critic" award for the year 2004 from the Minister of Information
and Broadcasting. Sangam Kala Group instituted this national level award.
JANUARY 2005
In 2005 Rajan was awarded
a special fellowship by the Government of France to work with French musicians
and to compose "RAGA-SYMPHONY".

Raagam', Tamil magazine on classical arts, Thavil maestro Shri Valayapatti
